Before I begin to do my thing, I really must apologize for the
typos I make you endure all the time.I am cringing on your behalf already. I type real fast, my kokonsa thoughts hit
me all at once, I always have soo much to say on paper. I promise to go through
all and correct the mistakes. I promise to edit and proof read. At least I owe you that for taking time
to read…..
Its Monday evening, I am home. Today I worked from Tema so I
was cruising up and down the Motorway. How I wish I had a convertible. Hot pink with customised leather seats. Like I will drop
the top... vroom myself in seconds. Hallelujah.... Kw333! ah ah my money should hurry
up and come eh. I have been spying the new Mercedes convertible I think it is S
something. Onyame di33 he knows paaa and he is allowing me to grow into my hard
work and money. If He gave everything to me at once, like I will spoil portorr.
But the Lord is sure good all the time.(Heheeehe)
And then again I wonder….apart from wondering in my usual kokonsa style if I should
eat supper (yes I am aspiring to embark on a hopeless diet). Dieting is a terrible thing, it is an attack on the body i tell you. It is war. War on everything.... on the senses of taste, sight and smell. The body suddenly decides to make you aware of all the scents of food, all the tender spicy meats and all the fizzy drinks in the world. Right now i am losing the battle. Yep i can see some pork sauce, rice and peas fried in butter. oh mehn... Alas!! but heyyyyy i am not that fat. I have just moved from a size 10 to a size 12. As long as I am able to fill out my jeans, shorts and skirts...whoop whoop( sly grin)
Back to the topic....I really wonder when people who live their lives in public
will start realizing that it is not healthy to air their dirty linen to the line. Seriously who wants to smell anybody's stinking pants...ewww right?!. When will they realize that when we choose
them as our leaders we are interested in how the country is moving forward and
not who is not this person’s friend. Who cares? Well I don’t. Do you?
This week we are going to be welcomed into a realm of you
say I say, he did she did, I beat you, did not beat you….wei nyinaa nsoso ye asem. What
is wrong with you people? Ah you
listening to yourselves? Till the story changes Haruna Iddirisu is alleged to have
organized a woman to beat up a deputy
minister in Charge of Women and Children Affairs. Talk about Irony. (Holding my head) I can already see the spin that will be put
on this by the foreign media. Women and
Children Affairs. Right of women...blah blah! Honorable Haruna The
Minister for communications is a very nice man.( No I am not talking in terms
of how handsome he is. He is one of the nicest communicators of the Umbrellas
who is not soo up in your face, yep the kind that doesn’t want to make you
smash the television).
I remember him from his NUGS (National Union of Ghana
Student) days, he was president of the union I think for 4 years and he was
very good. One of the few young men who were bold enough to challenge the
system.... heck what am I saying? challenge Prez Rawlings. The original who born dog. How he ended up with the
Umbrellas? I have always wanted to ask but hey obiara ne ne taste. But
seriously this allegation I do not want to believe it. My common sense cannot
see him wanting to harm a woman. That is soo cruel. And she goes on to say John
Jinapor (Prez Mahama’s aide also attacked her at some point) like seriously
this is not cool! At all. But meser3 meka...what is soo fascinating about theis woman that everybody seems to want to hit her? Is she a Zainab? This is embarrassing for me as a Ghanaian. This is not the kind of news i want to be waking up too.
Hmmmm
what should the president do? What will the president do? This
situation reminds me of President Palmer in the 24 hit television series. There was this time, Jack Bauer did something
that went against USA and President Palmer had to punish him , Jack told him
pointblank …Sir you are a man, most of all my president, the President of the
United States of America, what would you do? We will have to wait and see. But
ah I do not envy President Mahama one bit. He is about to enter a world of
egos. The world a leader always has to suffer. But he has to manage it. He is a
communication man no? He knows the effect this has on himself, his bid to
become president and the view of Ghana internationally.
A terrible attitude I have especially when i am in the midst of crawling
traffic. I love to kokonsa stare at people driving home. The trotros, the
taxis, the Kufuor buses, motorcycles, the bicycles, and the private cars.
Kindly note I have not added the people standing waiting for transport because
I cannot really see the expressions on their faces apart from the frustration
in their body language at not getting vehicles to go home with. I focus on the
cars whose passengers are basically men and women. I try and guess which ones are married. Out of five
three of them couples that i assume are married have heavy looks on... like I can’t wait to get out of here. Long
faces home. So I guess you are wondering where I am going with this. Well no
where! I am not about to start talking about marriage. Me dzi me fie asem. How annoying right…well that is me.
Right at this moment I am going to finish some reading i cannot postpone any longer and hop onto bed like no man’s business.
Have a good day should I say tomorrow or today..kinda
confused.
Later.
Love,
Me.
