Agooo....I have not forgetten about blogging o. I am here o, no writer's block o. I am just hot. infact hot y3mi. I am moving out of my comfort zone after 27 years on the University of Ghana campus. Yes I have lived my entire life sheltered within the walls of the great premier University. I was born in Sarbah Hall in E84. Yes no wonder when i got admission on the University of Ghana campus, my hall was Mensa Sarbah...oseyy Vikings.( haha) It is a good thing moving out but chale it will not be easy. Well it has started out not easy at all. OMG!!!! rates for rent and car prices in Ghana are a killer. Wow people are really suffering...then again it makes you count your blessings yep like get down on your knees kinda counting all the mercies. I guess I have to keep you informed on my progress, Yes i will, i will want to share all the stuff i go through so peharps i will encourage you, yes you that wants to stay and not push yourself. Life has its difficulties and you just have to brave it..I promise to share all my ups and downs...so please if you know me personally, stop buying me cake, cookies, dresses, shoes and icecream i am looking for house warming gifts. lmao
But I am soo excited, my own space, my own bathroom, decorating the space, whipping up dishes in my own kitchen (whoop whoop) my own memories built in every corner. I really looking forward to the next chapter. And by the way my son Kwadwo has got a motorway...hahaa so hilarious right. Initially i was afraid he would feel uncomfortable because of it, I also did not know how he will respond to the teasing from us and his classmates but he bravely took it in stride. He is craking jokes about it and all...giving us the motorway sign. If you ask him where his tooth is he will tell you it is broken and the dog has chewed it...who says that! I remember how i kept my broken tooth in a white polythene bag and hid it under my bed. Hmmm I wonder where that passed, I am sure my mother swept that thing away. How did you keep yours? care to share?
Isnt Ghana a sweet country? Every week new info. Ah it is soo hard to keep up now. Sometimes the things are so ridiculous you wonder if those who are involved ever pause and wonder if they themselves are correct? I mean for instance the EC deciding to create districts barely two months to elections.Sigh! As if that is not enough, you have the very Constituitonal Instrument that will enable the constituencies to become legal end up in some azonto dance in Parliament. Today it is laid by the close of day it is withdrawn then it is done the next two days only to be withdrawn that same day. It is soo similar to the kind of movies our local Denzel.. Agya Koo acts here. It is soo part 1 and 2. Still wondering when 5 and 6 are coming out. But seriously put the NDC and NPP aside, when will we take ourselves serious as a nation. When we do things in this country we seem to forget that the other nations look at us. Yes the same way we stretch our long necks and laugh at countries who do aluguntugui stuff, they same way they huff and puff with us. Aside that we must stop trying to subject our inactions and inaction to ridicule. Now when we talk of our EC we laugh or end up insulting them. We have little or no respect for Dr. Afari Djan. It is not cool...at all. And speaking about Dr. Afari Djan i do not even understand what is happening, creating new constituencies barely two months to election, it does not sound right. or it does? The argument that i hear is NPP did same. Yes they did same, but seriously look at the time it was done, more than nine months to the election. Given everybody ample time to adjust and know their left from right.
I laugh when i hear the umbrellas say that they will win and that those making noise are those who will lose. Yes NPP has made noise but is I did not know the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and The Trades Union Congress are also going to contest the seats as well or let me guess they are all NPP?! how childish! kmt.... Well for now the Umbrellas are superhuman. Fine they can assume they are superhuman because the ball is in their court but who says super humans do not have their kryptonite. Who says those who are rushing to win their primaries will win in the election?
And did I hear that Gideon Aryeequaye stood and lost? oh brother man! Sorry wai! better luck next time. And errr I am a bit conflicted..I absolutely adore Madam Hannah Tetteh. I think she is an amazing orator, still think she should have headed the Information Minstry. I was soo happy that she was going back to parliament only to realise that her bid was part of the imaginary part one and two constituencies. aww my heart. hmmm. Well we will just have to see what happens wont we.
But all that is happening reminds of how NPP lost the election. Yes when the personalities became too big, when the i know my right people ruled everything. Humans are some weird creatures, we do not learn from others, we forget too easily. what is that word again....HUBRIS!
So much has happened in the weeks of my non blogging, we have heard of the Yaw Boateng Gyan tape, we have heard of Olele, his wife and TB Joshua, Asiedu Nketia and The Preseby church...boy oh boy I am spoiled for choice. But I want to discuss Olele and his matters arising before I end this post.
Seriously this matter, how do you say it without being judgemental. This is my own beliefs so kindly treat it as such eh. I bear my own cross. But errrr I have never lived Mr. TB Joshua. I do not like him. I used to hear of him when he always makes propehecies that are obvious...come to think of it he hardly makes propecies about his country but always Ghana is his first stop. Almost three and a half years, he held some kind of authority over the presidency of this country. Even when we are playing a black stars match..someone has to call him for him to predict. Ebei. All the psychology that was spurn and wound with religion...Now we tend to follow the leader of the church and leave the Lord God behind. Who are we kidding..No one.Yes everybody including late Oga Prez had the right to believe in who and whatsover but when it is done at the expense of our country Ghana I beg to differ.
Difficult subject for me...Late Prez Mills... then before i could recover here comes the bride and groom. Richard Kingston aka Olele. Yes our former goal keeper has gone to him for prayers and on live tv his wife declared herself a witch who has tied his manhood. The first time i heard it all i said was ah illiteracy is painful. But why is the woman always the witch. Why is the mother always the mermaid in the sea. Me, Amma NaaBia Boachie- Danquah if you call me a witch or any female i know as a witch, i will just embrace it and beat the hell out of you. Mercilessly infact! Abi I bi witch. I will teach you witch sense. But seriously how?
I mean how? infact how dare you? Olele you are an old man...yes you are. Every man is appointed to be young, grow old and die..but if death comes early then ahh well...
Errr you tell us you are 28 but MRI scan dont lie so why should you.. your bones are old, you cannot obviously do the beautiful goal keeping you once did and you cannot just accept that? Why all this public invitation into your life...your wife, your children, your family, your friends all this why...do we ever think of the implications on the children. No matter the age, this is a very horrible thing to say about their mother.
And you say she is no witch, and she rather encouraged you not to accept 300,000 bribe to throw away a match? And that she was in a trance? So what should we do now...You were the one who went for prayers, You were the one who was asked to go and bring your wife, You were the one who came back to Ghana, put her in a plane to Nigeria for this to be said about her now you say what? Seriously? I pray your children forget this, I pray the woman forgives you and stays with you, I pray you have the common to come home and restrategise what to do with the rest of your life and whatever is left of your money. I really pray that you remember the marital vows at your big wedding ceremony you had just a few years ago....and most importantly i pray that you know one of the best ways to get miracles you soo desire is to get on your freaking knees and pour out your soul to the Lord. There is no other way around it.
This is an aside...why do we always assume that once someone has cut her hair and has no makeup then she is in shs and so she must be treated as such. Had a long battle with some bank girl at Zenith Bank Head Office yes the one by the National Theatre ( yes i have named and shamed). I know make up is supposed to enhance your facial features but if you end up looking like a corpse then what is the point. smh. I would rather put on make up and look flawless then look like the makeup colors bitch slapped me.
Today is Tuesday...another hot day in Ghana. Let us see what the week brings...
We will talk soon,
I am out
For now..
