Omydayz was it not a few hours ago that I was talking about how some people do ridiculous stuff in this country and how I wish they could just pause and ask themselves if they are correct? Waaa look at Mr. Kwadwo Ansah Twum Boafo who publicly announces that he has resigned from the Presbyterian Church of Ghana because in his view they are very partial in their condemnation of the creation of the new constituencies. Well just a few hours ago we got a response from the church indicating that he is not a registered member neither does he pay dues or tithes. Wait I want to laugh....hahahahahahahahahahahahahs ah. Oh Kweku Baako will be shaking his head and saying ah here we go into another realm of absurdity.
We are really joking in this country. It's a no brainier that we will have this story play out in the media for the next weeks to come and the important stories of nation building will be given a back seat. In all this it is President Mahama I pity. Oh yes I pity him..he has inherited a lot of stuff from the late president and the egos are just too much at this point. Even his famous thank you tour has taken a back seat thanks to one of his own...no wait one of his government communicators. Hahaa. Let me take you back a bit for those who may not understand what the Presbyterian Church, the Trades Union Congress, the Apostolic Missions as well the NPP is saying. Nobody is trying to tell them i.e. the EC not to create constituencies they are merely saying that the time is wrong...2months to a general election, so why don't you wait for this election to be over then you can gladly create more next year. That is all the matter ooo. This common sense thing some people have not heard some before. The excuse is NPP did same but I ask what time was that CI brought to parliament? And if something was wrong years ago, why do you the wise man repeat the same mistake...what kind of thing is this. But for me that is not where my wahala is..not there at all. My wahala is Hon. Kwadwo Twum Boafo and the Free Zone Enclave.
The first time I heard of Free Zone Enclave i immediately thought of Silicon Valley in the United States. I am sure some of you are shaking your heads...Yes I say USA that is how big and grand my imagination is or is it was at that time. But Alas I entered the zone and it was terrible. Yes there are buildings and some road networks but that is as far as it goes...I mean if landscaping consists of weeds then you can imagine. And that is supposed to be our industrial hub. Yes where our companies congregate manufacture export 70% and 30% stays here on in Ghana. But that is not the case.Nothing to write home about. Wait a minute I am not saying the deteriorating is the fault of the NDC or the fault of Hon. Twum Boafo what I am saying is if you understand how critical that hub is to the development of Ghana...the first person you will look for is something who understands the words entrepreneurship, business, growth, manufacturing, and the 21st century. Do I hear a Patrick Awuah in the audience. Do I hear that amen. That area is not a cadre position or a government communication position it is the Executive Secretary to the Free Zone Board Position. Strategic thinking . Always everywhere for the wrong reasons, always on radio for the wrong reasons....when will we hear that the free zone enclave in connection with the Ghana Investment Promotion Council is has been able to effectively fill out our free zone enclave nationwide to theorist that we have to build more hubs. Is it mission impossible like Mr. Lee Ocran aka Tom Cruise wants us to believe with the Free SHS policy? So this thing about his resignation that has come to plague our eyes what at will it add to the free zone enclave?
Infact these were the people who made a lot of us angry with the president no not the current one. These were some of the things why we some of us are eager for them to leave. Everyday this kind of thing on radio, newspaper and television. Why. Lord knows how we suffered with Asamoah Boateng now we have about a hundred of his kind. Prez Mills could not ask them, but will
President Mahama have the courage?
It is high time our leaders realize that we are hungry. We are hungry for success we are hungry for the fine things we see in movies, read in books and for those of us who have had the chance to experience abrokyire seen with our two eyes. We cannot continue to sit in Accra and think that because there is a skyscraper in Accra then we are developed. I believe any politician worth his salt drives beyond Accra every month...he wont even have the time to sit in radio and saying all kind of things. He or she will be to bothered in trying to fix something for that family who has nothing but still stands in line to vote. We cannot afford to apathetic in this election or any other. I fact I refuse to hear those who say they are all the same. No they were all the same when we were gullible, now we are not. Infact we cannot afford to be...there is too much at stake.
It's time for me to find something and eat and continue my book.
